VINO, the "Virtual Institute for Nonlinear Optics", is an informal, yet long standing, research and training action, participated by several scientists from different institutions worldwide.
Yet VINO is much more than a common research interest.
Our distinguishing feature is an approach towards science based on open sharing of know how, infrastructures and resources.
Indeed VINO is a friendship, more than a standard network, targeting mutual support in the knowledge adventure, in Science.
This is the experience that makes VINO team to play as an orchestra, seeking for the unique result that emerges for the unique participation of each one.
VINO organization is very different from the usual research institutions' structure, and deeply reflects its nature based on knowledge-sharing, mutual trust and cooperation.
VINO is part of the Centro di Cultura Scientifica "Alessandro Volta", an association dedicated to the promotion of scientific research.
